AMP Day Trip – Shindagin Hollow State Forest – Sunday 9/18

*** The Plan *** 1. Meet at Pittston Park N Ride, just off i81 / 476, to arrange car-pooling for caravan, sign AMP waivers, etc. Roll-out 9am “sharp” – plan accordingly. 2. Meet at the trailhead off Brarley Hill Road (just west of Bald Hill School Rd), feet-in-pedals at 11am. 3. Enjoy the trails for a 3-4 hours in the company of friends. The planned ride is only 15 miles but plenty of time scheduled for sessioning / social pace. 4. Relax and/or relocate to Water Street brew-pub in Binghamton for burgers and beverages, unless someone has a better idea. 5. Coming this summer – DCNR Chainsaw training!

 Please contact AMP if you are interested to receive the DCNR Chainsaw training, this training is required for volunteers to be able to legally operate a chainsaw during trail maintenance activities on DCNR properties. This includes parks (such as Frances Slocum and Lackawanna), forests (such as Lackawanna and Pinchot) and natural areas (such as Moon Lake).   A minimum of 10 people must sign up and attend or the training will not be held.   Having group of people registered with this training will significantly enhance the community’s ability to maintain and build trail in the DCNR properties, so if interested please reach out.   The date, time, and location of the training is to be determined, so if weekdays- or weekend- are better place share when you contact AMP.…
